Dr. Hayek obtained his Medical Degree (MD) from Saint Joseph University in Beirut. He completed a training in General and Vascular Surgery at Bordeaux University in France where he became Chief of Clinique at the C.H.U. Pellegrin Hospital. After several years, he became the President of the Lebanese Society For Vascular Surgery (LSVS). Dr Hayek is currently the Chief of Vascular Surgery at the Lebanese American University Rizk Hospital (LAUMCRH) in Beirut, a Clinical Associate Professor and an Assistant Professor of Surgery at the Lebanese American University (LAU)-Lebanon. Dr. Hayek has shown expertise in the treatment of spider and varicose veins. He uses sound clinical judgement, applies the latest clinical research and implements contemporary and advanced techniques to lead and improve the health of his patients.

Spider Veins

Spider veins are damaged blood vessels just under your skin that look red, blue or purple. They're usually harmless. Spider veins don't typically cause any symptoms, but rarely, may cause burning, itching or discomfort (especially in your legs)

Chronic Venous Insufficiency

Swelling in the leg, ankles, or feet; if you press on the swelling, your touch leaves behind an indentation. Leg discoloration and skin texture changes (rough, scaly, or leathery appearance); this sign indicates advanced chronic venous insufficiency.
